In 2009, a young man by the name of Santosh Koirala began The Moonlight Foundation with a mission to serve the underprivileged children of Nepal. In his own words, “If I were born into a middle-class family, I may not have started this school. It is my dream to provide underprivileged children an education to help them overcome poverty in the same way that I did.”
The Moonlight Foundation Nepal was established because we believe that every child deserves the right to an education. Our mission is to provide free schooling to children living below the national poverty threshold.
Education is the most powerful catalyst for social transformation. The Moonlight School is forever dedicated to support underprivileged children and to make their life happy and successful. We seek to provide quality formal education to as many children as possible.
